One will eventually suffer the bigger loss than the other which will turn the tables disrupting the girl’s getaway. The uncertainties of the war cause tension and test the values of love and kinship. For Ariel, having lose lips could sink ships and bring about pain and chaos or they could possibly lift the heavy burdens that her closest friend Monica have carried around for years. Dealing with loss of her unborn child, Monica’s mind is still set on revenge. Never in a million years could Acacia have imagined herself in such a low position. She’d been handcuffed and thrown in jail and had no man or family to turn to other than her best friend Charday. The two have linked up with the GMC crew and set out to make the hasty adjustments to fit into the fast past city of Atlanta, Georgia. Not only does she have to make adjustments mentally, Acacia has to adapt to her new financial status of eating off of a silver platter back home to being dead broke with nothing. The one person whose mind is set on bringing her into her maturity is the same person whom Acacia faults for ruing her life from the beginning.
