In this book, Patrick Aldworth shares his firsthand experiences during his ten years working at Gibson Guitar Company in Kalamazoo, Michigan, throughout the 1970s and early 1980s, before the company relocated to Nashville, Tennessee.Drawing from his unique journey within the company, Aldworth offers an inside look at the culture and operations of Gibson from several perspectives. Beginning as a plant supervisor, later advancing to Director of Human Resources, and eventually serving as Director of Artist Relations, he witnessed the company from both the manufacturing floor and the artist-facing side of the business.During his time as Director of Artist Relations, Aldworth worked closely with some of the most legendary guitarists and bands in the world, including The Rolling Stones, The Who, Steve Howe, Bill Monroe, Chet Atkins, and Les Paul.
